Born Under A Lucky Moon

The novel Born Under A Lucky Moon, while fictional, is based on real life events in my life. The story that takes place in 1986 is largely true. It noodled around in my head for decades until I knew I had to write it down just to stop thinking about it. I did compress some events to fit into a specific time frame.

Lots of good news about Born Under A Lucky Moon!

You can read the first chapter of the book on Scribd.  I love that service, it works flawlessly and has a great audience. Of course you can also read it (and more) here as before but the Scribd interface makes it super nice to read it there.

I also did a fun interview with Linda Weaver Clarke which you can read on her eponymous blog.

Finally, the book got a nice shoutout as a great summer beach read on Deb Bailey’s Facebook page for woman entrepreneurs.

It looks like this summer will be a sunny one for Born Under A Lucky Moon!

Do I recommend Born Under a Lucky Moon?! You are darned right I do!! This is the perfect story to lighten one’s day and engage the reader from beginning to end. My personal experience with the ending of the story? A huge smile, as I closed the book after reading the final words.

Another great review! This one is from Cafe of Dreams.

Dana Precious has written a first novel that is a fun interlude for her readers who can hope that she will continue writing and refining her craft. Born Under a Lucky Moon is definitely a worthwhile choice for someone who wants to escape the day-to-day tediousness of life into a world that is unpredictable and a bit zany.

Born Under a Lucky Moon hit bookshelves last Tuesday and would make for an excellent Valentine’s Day gift for a special girl in your life. It’s just one of those feel good stories that it’s fun to cuddle up next to the fire and read until you fall asleep. It’s refreshing when you can find a book that can just make you smile, and that’s exactly what this novel does.

Another nice review, this one from Fanbolt’s Emma Loggins who gives it an A-.

Once the final line was read, I closed the cover on its 419 fast-moving pages, smiled to myself, and whispered one word; “Wow…
